While discussing with a friend the true nature of God, the friend shared a story of a woman he had met. A woman who had a gift for language. At the time of the meeting the woman was a college student. According to my friend, she could understand and speak most languages used throughout the world. There were a few more obscure tongues from the deepest part of Africa that she did not know. He had no way of verifying this claim however.
The woman’s personal story started around her twelfth or thirteenth year, when her mother took her to a traditional Latin Catholic mass. During the mass her mother scolded her when she was caught writing in a notebook during the mass. The girl defended herself saying she was writing down what the priest was saying. The girl did not know how to speak Latin and her mother knew it. After the mass, the mother hoping to catch the girl in a lie escorted her daughter to the priest. The priest however confirmed that the girl was translating the mass. As the story goes, after that point the girl excelled in school. Graduating high school early and beginning college at the age of sixteen. It was at this time that the girl was invited, along with many other scholarly people, to the Vatican to read and interoperate their oldest version of the bible. They had to use the most strict protocol and were not permitted to even touch the manuscript. The group was sworn to secrecy and the results, they were told, would be announced at the turn of the century, the year 2000. They were not. This according to the story is what it said, God is made up of three parts. Like electricity, Positive (+), Negative (-), and the one everyone forgets, Neutral (o). Like electricity though, Neutral (o), does not remain Neutral (o). It takes on the characteristics of that which has the most influence on it, Positive (+), or Negative (-). As an analogy she described “man’s relationship with God” like this; God is like three sheets of paper and we are the staples that hold them together. Its at this part of the story that I had to say, “wait a minute.” If we were described as a vessel that the three parts of God inhabited, I would not have batted an eye. But staples combining the three parts of God. I supposed it could be seen as the same, vessel, staples. Regardless, I did not like being described as merely a tool of God. Perhaps the woman was remembering her pledge, deciding not to reveal the whole truth. Some time later I was working a mindless job. Once again witnessing “man’s disrespect toward man” I began to think, would they act that way if they thought they were doing it to God? My mind recalled the story of the woman and the three parts of God. I thought about how people tend to be influenced by those around them. Positively (+) or Negatively (-). That is when I had the vision which I painted and one of those “A-hah! moments". We and everything we know is God. More specifically, the Neutral (o), part of God. At least that is my interpretation, and the origin of the painting. David |
